Giving Back and Paying it Forward

Kimberly Mariani Jones, joins UF Health Jacksonville as the assistant vice president of development for the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville and chief development officer for UF Health Jacksonville. In this dual role, she will help build a comprehensive philanthropy program and manage a high-level portfolio of leadership and principal gift prospects. She will also serve as point of contact for academic and hospital stakeholders in northeast Florida for development-related activity and collaborate with supporters, both internal and external, to foster a culture of philanthropy.

Kimberly comes from Jacksonville University, where she served as senior vice president of Advancement. Her efforts there led to an unprecedented engagement and fundraising progress, exceeding the ASPIRE Campaign’s $120 million goal ahead of schedule thanks to generous volunteers and investors. She was instrumental in the University’s 75th anniversary celebration, the establishment of a 50th reunion tradition in conjunction with Homecoming and Family Weekend, young alumni giving program, a University annual day of giving, the President’s Parents Council and Leadership Advisory Council, and multiple 7-figure naming gifts, including the naming of two colleges, two schools, a center and many other significant campus facilities, endowments and academic programs.

Practicing development for nearly 20 years in the private and public university settings, believes in a collaborative, collective approach to giving. She is a Gator grad and fan, and a member of the Community Foundation for Northeast Florida’s Women’s Giving Alliance, the World Affairs Council and CASE, serves as a trustee at The Discovery School, and formerly taught as an adjunct faculty member at Jacksonville University.
